President’s Message

Dear NSPMA Members/Business Partners and Perspective Members/Business Partners,

It is with great pleasure, I welcome you to what promises to be a tremendous upcoming school year.  I am truly honored and humbled to have been chosen to lead the NSPMA for the 2025-2026 organizational year.  With the support of great state organizations from across America, a dedicated, hardworking, and collaborative NSPMA Board and business partners, I am extremely confident we will have a successful year.

As many of you are aware, the NSPMA held its 2025 Conference and Expo at the Crystal City- Hyatt Regency Hotel and Conference Center in Washington, DC this past April.  The conference was an immense success due to the leadership of our past President Shawn Dilday, our Executive Director Ken Wertz, and the NSPMA Board of Directors.  On behalf of the NSPMA, I would to thank all members, business partners, and support staff for their engaged participation, but more importantly, for the partnerships and friendships that were formed.

As President, I have outlined a few goals that we hope to achieve as an organization this upcoming year:

 – Build our Bank of members and vendors…these groups represent the lifeblood of our organization

– Customized Coursework… educational webinars, classes and trainings tailored to the needs of members will add value to membership, allow us to share best practices, and help the organization become sustainable; this will not happen overnight, but we must start by collaborating to establish a direction for the future

–  Collegial Conversations…this organization is comprised of great minds and passionate people; we need to tap into this bank of knowledge and experiences through think tanks, idea/program sharing, webinars, and facility/site based visits/tours

– Political Posture…legislators and decision makers need to hear our voice; we know our business- we know schools and facilities, we know teachers, we know students

Only with everyone in this organization on board can we achieve these goals.  I know we can, we will, and we have to, as creating a safe and well maintained environment conducive to teaching and learning is all of our daily work and life’s mission!

On behalf of the NSPMA Board, I am excited to announce the 2026 NSPMA Spring Conference & Expo at the Marriot Downtown Hotel and Conference Center in Kansas City, Missouri.  We anticipate a large and diverse attendee and business partner representation from across the nation.  The conference & expo will feature facility specific training sessions, product and service demonstrations, facility site visit(s), a trade show, dynamic guest speakers, networking/ hospitality events, and a formal awards banquet.  There are tentative plans in the works for a spouse/guest tour package as well.  I would like to thank Mr. Chris Crockett and the KADPF in advance for their hospitality and assistance in helping up put on a first class event.  Additional information can be found on our website with many more details to come, but for now…Please Save the Date:  April 26-29, 2026.  See yall in Kansas City!!!
